The $1,500,000 Group 1 Doomben 10,000 has attracted a field of quality sprinters including Everest winner Giga Kick. In the $300,000 Group 2 Spirit Of Boom Classic for 2YOS Peter & Paul Snowden train 3 of the 11 runners. The Vowels and So Dazzling look well-suited in the $250,000 Group 3 Rough Habit Plate for 3YOs and there is another Group 3 and two Listed races on the card.
At Morphettville the $500,000 Group 1 South Australian Derby will have a capacity field of 16 over the 2500m where the early favourote is She's Fit, who is also the only filly in the field. The other features are the Group 3 SA Sires' Produce Stakes and the Listed Adelaide Guineas. Over in Western Australia there is the $200,000 Belmont Sprint over 1400m where the field includes 2022 runner-up Red Can Man and 3YO Bustler who could become the firsrt 3YO to win the race since 1987. The two-day carnival at Scone has the $200,000 Listed Scone Cup on the Friday then the $200,000 Group 3 Dark Jewel Classic on Saturday along with four Listed races. At Flemington there is a capacity field of 18 in the $500,000 Listed Andrew Ramsden over 2800m where White Marlin is the early favourite. There is also the $175,000 Listed Straight Six where there seems to be some value bets in the field.
