Week In Review 21-27 Sep Highlights

With the NRL Finals series upon us, this week we're starting the Week in Review by highlighting the massive finish to the incredibly profitable regular season for our NRL Tips.

Overall: +689.4 units profit (8% POT)

+22.2u profit this week at 153% POT. That takes us to +46u profit at 57% POT for the month. 2 bets on Tuesday for 2 winners, with Dreams And Schemes saluting at $10 and Aspect Ratio at $3.10. On Friday Swats That won for us convincingly despite sitting 3 wide no cover. They have confirmed they are targeting the G1 Coolmore Stud Stakes, and we have backed her at $26-$34 in Futures for that race. On Saturday Pythia charged home to win for us at $26, whilst Wild Ruler was also a strong winner at $3.10. Better Lad won for us on Sunday, whilst Deponent ran 2nd at $3.60 and Churning 3rd at $18. We've had a great run of big priced winners lately, with Alexander Hamilton $40, Pythia $26 and Raise Em Up $34 ($71 Top Fluc) all winning in recent weeks.

Dean’s Tips

A great week with a +17.5u profit, though it could have been absolutely monstrous.

We had Cetshwayo at $26 and Affair To Remember $6.90 win for us on Wednesday at Flemington, with Cetshwayo looking a Derby type. Nimalee & Salto Angel both ran 2nd whilst Cordilla had no luck not getting clear. Glenfiddich was a dominant winner and heads to the Caulfield Guineas, whilst Al Galayel also won, and Perfect Jewel ran a close 2nd. Saturday was a big day with wins to Attorney, Entente, Saracen Knight and Russian Camelot.

Obviously the highlight was nailing Ole Kirk with an aggressive futures bet in the Golden Rose at $13-$15, where he started half that price and was an impressive winner. We also got the $2,358 quaddie at Rosehill, but what could have been. We had Purple Sector going in the last leg for a $48,000 dividend, which would have translated to a +120u collect, or more than the betting bank in one bet!

Purple Sector ran 3rd beaten a nose and a nose, but then was promoted to 2nd as he was bumped and hampered by the 2nd horse numerous times in the straight. Fair to say if he isn't hampered he wins the race and we have a monstrous collect. It doesn't feel as bad when you have a big winning day/week, but jeez that is one of the worst bad beats we've had given the enormous potential collect.

Anyway a good week nonetheless, and it's now getting exciting as we get to one of the biggest racedays of the year next Saturday and beyond through the Spring.
