Race 1: Fleurieu Milk Company Handicap 1050m

Thorondor was impressive when winning on debut, showed a nice turn of foot, must step up again here but looks to have some upside. Crockett is the most experienced runner in the field coming out of the Magic Millions last start, this is much easier, and he looks a strong winning chance. Assertive Play has been trialling well leading up to her debut here.

No betting interest here, staying out.

Race 2: Hughes Limousines Handicap 1600m

Danger Deal faces a big drop in grade here after contesting some strong races, wins rarely but looks suited here, gets the blinkers back on, hard to beat. Canford was strong when winning last start, gets a big negative jockey change here but maps well and must be respected. Feringo broke through for his maiden win last start, harder here but can run well.

2.5 units – Danger Deal @ $2.10

Race 3: Darley Handicap 2032m

Tiger Tim has been fair this prep, looks set to peak here, can settle on the speed, and give them something to catch. Beau’s My Boy is racing very well for the Grant Young stable, looks the leader here and can run well. Casino Club is just an honest stayer, maps well here and must be respected. Danouli not the worst at odds.

This race looks a lottery, no betting interest.

Race 4: Quayclean Handicap 2500m

Big Hammer has been doing enough this prep, faces a drop in grade here and is hard fit, will go back from the barrier but should be hitting the line well late. Hardington is racing well this prep, finds a race here with little depth, chance. Red Alto another honest stayer who wouldn’t surprise in a race of this nature.

A race with very little depth, staying out.

Race 5: Holdfast Insurance Handicap 1100m

Éclair Lightning was impressive when winning on debut, faces a big step up here but wouldn’t surprise. Thompson’s Reward was impressive when winning first up, will be hitting the line strongly late. Kabini hasn’t had much luck this prep, is a nice type who can run well here with the right run. Atlantica was too good for them at the Provincials when resuming, must step up here but wouldn’t surprise. Mondo Magic looks overs.

Race 6: UBET Handicap 1050m

Air Guitar comes here for the Weir camp after a nice win on debut, must step up here and I couldn’t touch the price on offer, but you can’t doubt this stable. Military Forces was good when winning first up and has been disappointing since, drop in grade here but couldn’t get involved at the price on offer. Masipag was dominant first up, big step up here but wouldn’t surprise. He is Golden is a consistent type resuming, can settle on the speed here and give a good sight.

Race 7: See the Magic of Matt Tarrant at Morphettville Handicap 1600m

Star Patriot was strong when winning last start, finds another suitable race here and maps well. Lynch Mob won in easier company last start, is hard fit and must be respected here. Minoan Spirit is only going OK, but finds a race here with little depth and must respect the stable. Strategic Glass can improve at big odds.

Race 8: Irish Race Day – 1st September at Morphettville Handicap 1200m

Mystified is not going very well in my opinion, has not won for a long time and they keep putting him up single figures, finds a race with little depth here but looks unders once again. My Unicorn is an honest type, finds a winnable race here, handles the wet and maps well. Counter Spin and Good Luck Chuck can both run well at odds.

Want to be against Mystified but struggling to find anything else to back with confidence, if Mystified stays under $3 I might lay it for something small.
