A big start to the season with 4 wins from 5 bets across the weekend with the highlight coming on Saturday night with the West Tigers covering the +8.5 against Canberra.

+15.4u profit for the week, driven by wins to Perfect Jewel $12.50, Cuban Twist $12.40, Brimham Rocks $5.50, Lies N Deception $3.80 & Dreamy Alice $3.80. Was nearly an absolutely mammoth week with 64u worth of 2nd placings. We backed two horses confidently each way at $61, and both ran 2nd, River Racer worth 30.5u and The Mayor worth 18.3u. Would have been brilliant if one of them had saluted, but a nice week nonetheless.

Endovanera was a nice result on Wednesday at $3.70 whilst Puckapunyal ran 2nd at $5 (5.5u worth). Strong day at Belmont on Saturday with Captain Kink $4.70 & She’s Enchanted $3 both saluting for us.

It was a huge start to the week on Monday with Lucap & Mecum both landing the cash at $10!! A loss Tuesday followed by a small win on Wednesday with our one each way bet Style Guru running 2nd at $6. Nice result on Thursday driven by October Storm at $4.80.

On Monday our one bet She’s So Savvy ran 2nd at $7. The 2nd of Lord Tropicana on Thursday at $4.80 cost us a good winning day. Nice result on Saturday with Roman leading throughout at Kembla Grange paying $18! Bound To Win $3.90 ran a very narrow 2nd at Rosehill.

Losses across Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday followed by a win on Thursday having 3 bets for 2 winners. Then on Friday it was a perfect 3/3 day highlighted by Reus at $3.70. Duke Of Hearts $2.60 the highlight on what was a losing Saturday. A win on Sunday to close out the week with Never Talk scoring at $2.40.

We found some value selections yesterday. Superbellaa was $15 into $9 and kicked clear in the straight, but was swamped late. Supremo was well supported $10 into $8, led but hung throughout, hung badly in the straight and dislodged the rider after the race. Clearly some issue with the horse who didn't run to true form. At Belmont we had Continuance at $17 who led in both its trial wins but was forced to sit back and wide when they kicked up inside him, and Nuhad also sat 3 wide. Didn't pan out yesterday but we will get results with these horses in the future, likely at great odds too. 12u worth of 2nds this week with 2/3 beaten by a nose. Aiming for a quick bounce back next week.
