Speed Stars Race Assessments are a visual representation of each horse’s assigned rating using known performance capabilities based on unique Speed Ratings:

- Early Speed capability of each horse from the start to the 400m

- Late Speed capability of each horse over the last 400m

- Overall Speed Quality as a measure of horse class and ability

Assessments include an Early and Late Speed Chart along with an Overall Horse Assessment and rated price for comparison with the market to find profitable betting opportunities. All ratings are created using actual horse performance levels with practical forecasting of improvement and regression as directed by the data.

The Early and Late speed figures in the charts represent the base rating for each horse that we use as a starting point with bonuses and penalties applied to the overall assessment based on how each horse is currently performing. The figures are considered a guide only as there are so many factors in a race that can influence the early and late speed of each horse.

The Early and Late Speed Charts can be used throughout the day to find horses that may be advantaged if there is a bias or pattern identified at a particular track.

Each 1 rating point is equivalent to 1L and normalised across all distance ranges, this is done as 1 length is not treated equally across all distances. Shorter races will tend to yield higher ratings than longer distances as it is harder to run faster over longer distances.

The Rated Price for each horse is based on their assigned Speed Rating and should be used as a guide to compare to the market. The race assessment service means that you have all the information you need to make informed choices and can use it to invest throughout the day on races where you believe the best options are to end the day in profit.

Focusing on the Possible Betting Strategies nominated for each race is a good starting point for Win bets, Lay bets and Place bets, however the simple traffic light system means that horses highlighted Green have a higher assessed chance of winning based on their assigned Speed Rating.

Betting Options

- Along with our key speed-based information, we provide potential betting options that our members can use to find a profitable edge including:
