How to Turn On Permanent App Notifications for Winning Edge Investments (Android)

Step 1: Download the Winning Edge Investments App

Make sure your phone is on the latest Android available for your device

Download the Winning Edge Investments app from the Google Play Store

1. Go to Google Play Store
2. Search for Winning Edge Investments
3. Tap Install or Download

Step 2: Open System Settings

1. Open Settings on your Android phone
2. Tap Apps & notifications (or sometimes Apps)
3. This is the central place Android controls app alert behaviour. 

Step 3: Find the correct app

1. Tap See all apps if needed
2. Scroll or search and tap Winning Edge Investments
3. This opens the app’s detailed settings page.

Step 4: Turn on notification permission

1. Tap Notifications (or App notifications)
2. Turn on the main Allow notifications toggle
3. This allows Android to deliver alerts whenever the app sends them. 

Step 5: Customise notification categories

1. Below Allow notifications you will often see grouped categories (for example, “Alerts”, “Messages”, “Updates”)
2. For each category that matters to you:
   1. Tap it
      1. Turn on Show notification
      2. Set Alert style to show as banner and on lock screen
      3. Set Sound to your preferred alert tone
      4. If a Vibrate toggle is shown, turn it on

These channel settings let you control what you see and hear for different alert types. 

Step 6: Don’t use silent or minimal settings

If you see options like Silent, Minimised, Low priority, or Quiet notifications, do not select them

Choose the highest alert level offered so you hear and see notifications when they arrive. 

Step 7: Final checks

1. Exit Settings
2. Open Winning Edge Investments once so Android registers it fully
3. Use any in-app notification test function if available

A few points worth knowing

Android no longer officially supports truly “persistent” (non-swipeable) notifications that stay on screen forever, any notification can be dismissed by the user or system behaviour. 

Most devices let you keep new incoming alerts visible until cleared, but this depends on system and manufacturer build.

Samsung and other OEMs may label menus slightly differently (e.g. Advanced settings under Notifications). The basic approach remains the same: open Settings > Notifications > App and enable everything relevant. 

Navigating through the WEI App

Step 1 Understand the two WEI app views and how to switch between them

Your WEI app has two different user interfaces.

1. View 1 Default summary view
   1. This is the screen you see when you first open the app. It shows your subscribed services in a summarised list.
   2. To view the alerts for a specific service, tap the service name, for example Trader’s Tips or Greyhound Genius.

2. View 2 Full alerts list view
   1. This view shows a full list of bet alerts across your services, in one scrolling feed.

3. How to switch between the two views
   1. Look at the middle button on the bottom menu. It shows a left and right arrows icon.
   2. Tap that arrows icon to switch between the summary view and the full alerts list view.
      

Step 2 Use the search function in the Full Alerts View

In the Full Alerts View, you can search for specific betting alerts instead of scrolling through the full list.

How to access search

Tap the Search icon in the bottom menu. This opens the search screen.

2. You can refine your search using three options.

Search by keyword

1. Tap the Search Keyword field at the top.
2. Enter a keyword such as a horse name, venue, service name, or bet type.
3. This is useful if you remember part of the alert but not the full details.

Search by date range

1. Under Date, select the start and end dates.
2. This lets you view alerts sent within a specific period.
3. Use this when reviewing past bets or checking alerts from a particular day or week.

Filter by service

1. Under Services, tick the services you want to include.
2. For example, Trader’s Tips, Greyhound Genius, or Special Member Updates.
3. You can select one service or multiple services at the same time.

Run the search

1. Once you have set your keyword, date range, and services, tap the Search button at the bottom of the screen.
2. The app will display only the alerts that match your selected filters.

This search feature helps you quickly find past betting alerts without scrolling through your entire feed.

Step 3 Use the Contact Us section to get in touch with the WEI team

The Contact Us section gives you direct access to Winning Edge Investments support and official channels.

1. Tap the Contact Us icon in the bottom menu. This opens the contact screen.
2. What you can do from this screen

1. Contact the support team by email
   1. Tap the email address shown on the screen.
   2. This opens your default email app with the Winning Edge Investments support address pre filled.
   3. Use this for account questions, subscription help, or general enquiries.
2. Visit the official website
   1. Tap the website link.
   2. This opens the Winning Edge Investments website in your browser.
   3. Use this if you need detailed information, announcements, or updates outside the app.
3. View privacy information

1. Tap the Privacy link to view the Winning Edge Investments privacy policy.
2. This explains how your data is handled and stored.

4. Follow WEI on social media

1. Scroll down to the Social Media section.
2. Tap any social icon to open the official WEI profile on that platform.
3. This helps you stay up to date with announcements, promotions, and public updates.

This section ensures you can quickly reach the WEI team or access official information without leaving the app ecosystem.

Step 4 Use the Settings section to personalise your app experience

The Settings section lets you manage how the WEI app looks, how you log in, and how notifications sound on your device.

1. Tap the Settings icon in the bottom menu. This opens your account and app preferences screen.
2. What you can do in Settings
   1. View your account details
      1. At the top of the screen, you can see your name and registered email address.
      2. This confirms which account is currently logged in.
   2. Switch between light and dark mode
      1. Use the Dark Mode toggle to change the app appearance.
      2. Turn it on for a darker screen, or off for the standard light view.
   3. Enable faster login with your device
      1. Turn on Login with Device Authentication.
      2. This allows you to log in using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode, depending on your Android phone.
   4. Choose your notification sound
      1. Tap Notification Sound.
      2. Select the sound you want to hear when a WEI alert is sent.
      3. Tap the play icon to preview each sound before selecting it.
      4. This helps you recognise WEI alerts instantly.

1. 5. Log out of the app
      1. Tap Logout to sign out on your current device only.
      2. Use this if you are switching accounts or troubleshooting login issues.
   6. Log out of all devices
      1. Tap Remove all devices and Logout.
      2. This signs you out of the WEI app on every device linked to your account.
      3. Use this if you believe your account is logged in elsewhere or you want a full reset.

The Settings section gives you full control over security, notifications, and how the app behaves on your Android phone.
