How long have you been betting profitably on AFL?

I have been betting profitably on the AFL for the last 4 years.

How have your official results been over this period?

Over the past 2 seasons offering a paid AFL Tips service, my subscribers enjoyed +215.21 units at 34% Profit on Turnover. In previous years I purely bet for myself and enjoyed similar results.

Why do you focus on AFL particularly?

AFL is a huge passion of mine. I love every aspect of the game. This passion is why I first got into AFL betting. AFL is such a diverse game and there are so many edges to be found with such a wide range of betting options, so these are the key reasons that I focus exclusively on the AFL from a betting perspective. I strongly believe AFL is the most profitable sport to bet on in the world.

Where do you find the biggest edges?

The biggest edges can be found in the player disposal markets as there are a wide range of factors that affect a player’s performance in these markets on a particular day/ night.

What factors do you take into account when assessing selections? What are the key areas or statistics you analyse? How do you identify your bets?

Some factors and statistics that I consider in these markets include (but are not limited to) player form, player/ team matchups, ground size, weather, player role, expected time on ground, possible tags and opposition trends on where they give up disposals. If it’s a multi bet I need each leg to pass a personal checklist, which includes most of the factors listed above. A portion of my betting is built around data, stats and trends; however, the bet also has to tell a ‘story’ as such. It all has to make sense, which is the situational analysis aspect of my betting that is a large part of my edge. I tend to have multi bets paying anywhere from $6 to $10, but I want to have them personally priced as low as possible (around the $3-$5 mark usually). In my first two years of betting on AFL I focused purely on multi bets as I have developed my edge in that area, however I soon realized that profits could increase further if I incorporated singles bets into my betting activities. Similar to the multi bets, I identify value in market and bet accordingly. Additionally, with so many bookmakers and a diverse range of AFL markets there are always mistakes in the markets, and they can be exploited through targeted singles bets.

How will your service work? What types of bets will you send, how many bets per week, unit bank recommended, estimate of weekly units spent?

My AFL Tips service will begin Round 1 of the AFL season and will provide you with all the profitable AFL betting you need. It will deliver a mixture of multi bets and single bets every round for the whole season. The number of bets per week will vary depending on the available opportunities from a value perspective, but anywhere between 8-10 bets per week is my expectation. A 100-unit bank is recommended, and the estimated weekly unit spend can be anywhere between 10 to 30 units, however it will most likely land in the 12 to 20 unit range from an investment perspective most weeks.

At what time or how long before a game are the bets normally released?

Most bets are released on the day of the game, usually 2 or more hours before each game.

What information do you provide with each bet?

Each bet will include the bet type, recommendation, suggested staking, available odds/bookies and a detailed description of why it is a good bet.

What is a realistic Profit on Turnover percentage?

The past two seasons combined have delivered 34% POT which is exceptionally high. Hoping to maintain this in 2023.

Any learnings from last season?

Last year there were 117.57 units of additional profit just missed by 1 or 2 disposals. An evening up of that unusual discrepancy this season could see the results explode even bigger than they already are. I have painstakingly reviewed every bet from the last 2 years & has found what works and what doesn’t work. The most profitable edge is betting into disposal groups & disposal lines so this will be a focus.

What sized bank do I need?

The size of your bank doesn’t matter. The key is to translate your betting bank into 100 units. So 1% of your betting bank equals 1 unit.

Which bookmaker accounts are the best to use with your service?

It is ideal to have a Topsport account, plus Sportsbet and Bet365 ideally. Having as many corporate bookie accounts is always preferred but not essential, but it helps to have 3 or 4 of the larger bookmakers that offer same game multi markets e.g., Tab, Pointsbet, Neds, Ladbrokes etc. A Betfair account is also useful for getting the best odds on some singles markets.

Which odds comparison sites do you recommend?

Odds comparison sites are generally not required. I will specify where you can get the bet on and where the best odds are for a particular bet.

Do I bet straight away when the tips are sent, or wait until close to the match starts?

I suggest betting as soon as you can after the message is received to secure the best prices possible.

How are the official odds/results recorded?

All bets are recorded simply and fairly at the 2nd best Australian Bookie price at the time of release, unless the price doesn't move following release of the tips.

Who does this service suit?

This service suits all types of punters of any size. One of the most popular aspects of this package in the past has been the fact that you don’t have to be a large sized unit punter to win great money on this package through multis.

Additionally, those punters who have access to bookmaker promotions such as boosts, bonus bets back and other offers that are often associated with multi bets will outperform official results considerably.

Any profit guarantee?

Yes, there is a profit guarantee for all Quarterly or Yearly subscriptions.

Will I be able to get a decent sized bet on?

Most corporate bookmakers are happy to accept sizeable multi bets as traditionally they are considerably profitable for them. Much of our singles betting will be done with Topsport, where they let everyone on for pretty reasonable amounts.
